Detail what could be done to reduce animal stress. How is this related to showing ‘empathy’ to the animals in your care?

You can talk to the animal very safely and talk step by step to see how it react or do. Also do not let too many people stand around the animal it always let them stress. It relate to show that you care for your animal and want them to show and feel safe in a place where they are going to stay or be cared. Also find out about that animal and what they eat and do, so that you can now how to care and what not to do to that animal.

Explain the cleaning and sterilising procedures of the milk bottles and measuring utensils and why must they be sterilised?

Because milk are most given to young animals and because young animals don’t have that many specific organism/ sells to protect them from germs and other bacteria that can effect them or make them ill. So it must be sterilised to kill all hat bacteria that, it cant stay on the bottles or measuring utensils, to go into the young animals.

There are there other types of waist to the organic water above – physical, medical and chemical.

Physical: All the meats fat or bones that the animals cant eat it. Or all the fruit that’s bad or the animals cant eat it. Because if they don’t throw it properly away it will attract pest and it will stink. And if it stinks or pests come it will affect problem at the WlC. No workers or no people will visit. If meat lie around and smell, some pest will come.

Medical: If they don’t throw it properly away it can hurt someone or make them sick if it’s not for them and they get it in. Also some animals can get it and will kill them or make them ill.

So they must used it at the WLC or put it safety place so that just one or two people can use it. It’s for everyone’s safety and the animals. E.g. a used needle stick and they used it again, can harm someone.

Chemical: If you don’t used it properly it can affect the you and if it affects you it will also affect the work place and also the animals. So if you use it, use it the right way and properly. REED the instructions. Also put it away where no animal can get it, also on a safe place.

 Animals that have newly arrived are very sensitive and there are a few things that can be done to ensure there introduction to captivity it smooth. Discuss.

                                                               

If an animal is new to arrived, you must be very quiet because they ar3e very sensitive to voices. Also talked very slowly and softly to make them calm down.

Need to clean enclosure.

Hot water and salt –  No chemicals because it’s to strong for the animals.

Must clean because if there was a sick animal it can get sick and other animals smells.
